WebSep 19, 2024 · We camped for four nights at Chippokes Plantation State Park. They offer lots to do: Olympic-sized swimming pool, hiking trails, campground, forestry museum and the 1850s mansion. Arrive early on a weekend day to see the operation of the sawmill. The campground is clean and well-run. The A loop for tents and trailers has plenty of shade.
