The door says closed and I cannot enter, as if I do not have access to the DLC. In Steam when I right click Dark Souls 2 and click "View DLC" I see that I have the DLC and it is the "install" box is checked.

WebYou need to find 3 keys, 2 of which are pretty well hidden. There are 3 portals to the DLC areas. 2 are after 2 of the main bosses, and one is literally in the middle of the path to Drangleic Castle (can't miss it).
