How a hoist works
WebHydraulic lifts work on a basic principle: to go up, a pump pushes oil into the cylinder, pushing the piston (which pushes the lift car) up. To go down, the valve opens and oil is allowed to flow back into the reservoir, and is pushed back using the gravitational force of the lift car. The diagram above shows this system. Web12 de mar. de 2024 · The signals given by the operator, along side any safety devices or sensors, control the break and motor. When the hoist receives the signal, power is supplied to the motor, releasing the break. The motor drives the hoisting gear, which reduces the rotation speed and increases torque so as to lift the load.
